Stunning Vintage ceramic incense holder with a carved Oni, Devil, Demon signed by the artist Hisaoki Oshima.

The motif alludes to the custom of throwing dried beans from a square cup (masu) at the Setsubun festival in early February, with cries of "happiness inside, devils outside" - hence the devil face on the lid and the character 福 fuku (happiness) inside.

This small box or Kogo is a perfect example of how the Japanese potters can also be true artists while spreading their culture. It is a perfect gift for studio pottery lovers or collectors and also Japanese culture fans.

An essential element to complete a collection or why not a storage box for your favorite rings or earrings.
